Import the root certificate into the Windows Keystore

For a Bot to connect to the server, the root certificate must be imported into the Windows key storage on the computer where the bot is installed.

Configuration via Servicetrace Bot Configurator

In addition, you have to configure the Bot for communication via HTTPS using the Robot / X1 Bot Configurator.

Open the Configurator for each Servicetrace Robot by opening the Windows Start menu and selecting either Servicetracer > Agent Configurator (APM / TA) or Servicetrace > X1 Bot Configurator (RPA).

In the Robot Configurator (APM / TA), adjust the following settings and then click OK to restart the Robot.

Central server to connect

Enter the fully qualified domain name of the server under Central Server to connect.

Use HTTPS as protocol layer

Select the checkbox Use HTTPS as protocol layer.

In the X1 Bot Configurator (APM / TA), adjust the following settings and then click OK to restart the Robot.

X1 server to connect

Enter the fully qualified domain name of the server under X1 Server to connect.

Use HTTPS as protocol layer

Select the checkbox Use HTTPS as protocol layer.

Troubleshooting

If you still receive error messages from the Robot, check under TLS 1.2 is not activated for the .NET Framework and TLS 1.2 is not configured for WinHTTP in the Chapter entitled Troubleshooting.
