Refresh

This menu item updates the list of Test Plans for a Version. The table's status bar shows the time of the last refresh.

Expand All

This menu item expands the list of Test Plans to also show the contained User Stories.

Collapse All

This menu item collapses the list of Test Plans so only the name line of the Test Plans are shown.

Create

This menu item creates a new Test Plan for a Version of a Test Automation project. A wizard guides you through this process.

Create Test Plan Wizard

Enter a name for the Test Plan and a description on the first page of the Test Plan Details wizard.

On the User Stories page, click the Add Story button to add a new User Story. The Remove Story button is for removing User Stories from the Test Plan.
The option to Continue on failure is deselected by default. If one of the User Stories fails to execute, the Test Plan stops. If you would like the Test Plan to execute subsequent User Stories in case of a failed one, please select the checkbox.

The Add Story button opens a window showing all the User Stories for the same Version that are not yet included in the Test Plan. Select the User Stories you wish to add by selecting the relevant checkboxes.

User Stories are executed in the sequence in which they appear in the Test Plan. They are shown in alphabetical order in the Select Story window. The sequence within the Test Plan depends on the order in which stories are added. It is possible to modify the sequence using the drag and drop mouse function.

On the Select Execution page, specify whether the Test Plan should be run within a desktop session or a Secure Session.

If you decided on the previous page to run the Test Plan within a Secure Session, enter further details on the Set Environment page.

The Summary page provides a summary of the information you have entered. To edit any of the information, click the Prev or Next buttons to navigate to the relevant pages before clicking Finish to complete the process of configuring the Test Plan.

Edit

All parameters for a Test Plan can be modified later using this menu item.

User
This menu item is only available to users with the following privilege: Test Plan Create / Edit.

Delete

If a Test Plan is no longer required, it can be removed from the Version using this menu item.

This menu item is only available to users with the following privilege: Test Plan Delete.

Execute

This menu item is used to execute the selected Test Plan. Test Plans can only be executed if all contained User Stories are of status OK.
Clicking on the button Execute opens a window where you can select the Robot to be used to execute the test plan. All Customer Robots with type Test Automation or Shared and the status OK are listed.

You can execute the test plan immediately by clicking the Execute now button. If you want to start the test plan later instead, you can use Scheduled execution to choose a specific date and time to execute it.

Click the OK button to confirm the choice of Robot and the Test Plan will be executed immediately.
If you answer Yes to the question Do you want to watch the execution of the test plan within the Servicetrace TV? a new window will open. The view of this window is split. The left side shows the Test Case data, the right side shows the desktop of the System the Test Plan is run on. You can view the Workflow run while it is processed.

The result is also saved to the Test Plan Statistics.

Cancel execution

If you have scheduled execution of a Test Plan using the Execute menu item, but want to stop it, you can simply click the Cancel execution button.
