User Management - Roles¶

In the module User Management -> Roles, you can see all existing roles in a table. You can add new roles and edit and delete roles that you have created yourself. You can assign the roles to a user who automatically receives all authorizations contained in the role.
Privileges¶
To open and manage the User Management module, you require the Privileges User Management Open and User Management Administration.
Preconfigured Roles¶
Some roles are created when the X1 Server is installed. The Privileges contained in these roles are described in the following section.

Creating New Roles¶

To create a new role, click the Create button.
If you are logged in with the Customer [system], the role is automatically usable by all Customers (System Role). Otherwise, the role is created only for the Customer with which you are currently logged in (Customer Role).

In the Create a new Role view, you can enter a name and a description for the new role and assign privileges to it.
After you have saved your entries with Save, the role appears in the overview.
List of All Roles¶

All roles of a Customer are displayed together with the global roles in a single list.
Menu¶
Type of Role¶
A star indicates the role type:
A black star indicates a global role
A white star indicates a Customer role The associated Customer is entered in the last column of the table.
Edit¶
Click the Edit icon to edit the role.
You cannot edit preconfigured roles.
To see which privileges are assigned to the role, open the Edit Role view.
Delete¶
Click the Delete icon to delete the role.
You cannot delete preconfigured roles.
