In the event of specific incidents such as changes to the project phase or alerts, you can inform users automatically via e-mail. To enable the X1 Server to send e-mails, set up an SMTP server here.

SMTP Settings

Send Test Email

Once you have filled all the necessary fields of the SMTP Server Settings, you can test sending an email by clicking the Send Test Email button.

The Mail field is automatically filled with the content of the Sender Email Address field. You can also specify a different email address here. When you click OK to confirm, the test email is sent. A toast notification is displayed in the upper right corner of the window.

Server Name / IP Address

Name or IP address of the server from which the emails will be sent (mandatory field)

Server Port

Port of the SMTP server from which the emails will be sent

Sender Email Address

Email address from which the emails will be sent (mandatory field)

Sender Name:

Name to use as the sender name

Encryption:

If you select the Use SSL (Start TLS) checkbox, SSL (Start TLS) is used as the encryption method

SMTP Authentication

SMTP authentication

If you select the Enabled checkbox, an authentication name and password are required to send email.

Authentication Name:

Email address used to authenticate the email dispatch

Authentication Password:

Password of the email address used to authenticate the email dispatch

Advanced Settings

Send Interval:

Send interval in minutes (default: 1 minute)

Max Retry Time:

Maximum duration in days to retry sending the email (default: 2 days)

Parallel:

Number of parallel connections (default: 15 connections)

Saving the SMTP Settings

button_Save

Remember to save your changes by clicking the Save button.

These settings are valid for all customers on the server.
